Postnatal assessments to guide pelvic floor recovery following pregnancy or vaginal delivery
Teaching correct pelvic floor exercises / kegals
Pelvic floor pain assessment and treatment
Treatment for pelvic organ prolapse
Assessment of the cause of incontinence and provision of a rehabilitation program
Bladder urgency and / or incontinence advice and rehabilitation
Why is it helpful to be assessed and provided with a bespoke treatment plan?
Sometimes ‘Kegals’ or pelvic floor strengthening exercises resolve pelvic floor dyscunfton but this is not always the case
Women can have dyscunftion for other reasons than lack of strength such as muscle overactivity or tightness, fascial damage, lifestyle factors etc.
Many women don’t know how to perform a pelvic floor muscle exercise correctly, hence not achieving any benefit from practicing them at home without guidence on technique or correct exercise perscription
Exercises need to be matched to your current presentation - this might be techning the plevic floor to be more mobile, have more endurance, have more power, working on co-orination and progressivly loading the muscles to tolerate whatever it is you want to be doing
There is no one size fits all and an individulased plan is a lot more beneficial to your recovery
