Meet colm

Colm is a Chartered Senior Physiotherapist and co-founder of Aspire Physiotherapy. Colm currently splits his time between working in private practice and in professional sport. In addition to his Masters in Physiotherapy from UCD, Colm is also a graduate of UL with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

Since graduating Colm has gained a wealth of experience working in private practice as well as with both elite and amateur athletes across a wide variety of sports. Colm has worked extensively in sport most notably with Northern Ireland Football, West Coast Eagles in the AFL, Mayo Senior Footballers, Waterford Senior Hurlers and Waterford FC. More recently, Colm spent 3 years as the U17 Lead Physiotherapist with Northern Ireland before transitioning to the Senior Men’s Team in 2019 and continues in this role to date. He is currently part of the physiotherapy team working with the IRFU underage development pathways.

Colm’s background in sport doesn’t take away from his excellent rehabilitation skills with the non-sporting population. Colm strives to bring his experience to Aspire with a professional evidence based approach to all his clients. When you attend Colm, he will listen to your story and aim to quickly provide you some relief to your symptoms. Ultimately, Colm applies a long term approach to his treatment and will quickly progress to focus on exercise, advice and education to address the underlying causes of your symptoms.

Outside of work Colm has an interest in all things sport, especially GAA and golf. He is a keen golfer and has developed a love for running over the past few years. Colm ran his first marathon in Dublin in 2023 and plans to return back there in 2024!
